Fitness is fun with a friend!
 
Study’s show when you workout in a group or with a buddy you are more likely to:
 
-Achieve you fitness goals.
 
Having someone to motivate you and inspire you can often lead to you achieving your workout goals quicker than you anticipated. A little friendly competition never hurt anyone right?
 
-They can keep you in check!
 
Having a workout buddy can be a good way to help you focus on your technique, push you that little bit harder when your slacking off or keep your ego in check! (lets be honest, no one really likes looking at all those gym selfies!)
 
– Easier to try new things.
 
Walking into the unfamiliar alone is very daunting, you are more likely to try something new if you know someone has got your back!
 
-Working out becomes fun
 
dragging yourself to a workout can be horrible, but if you make them fun by organising a class at the same time as your bestie, you find you start looking forward to them! They become less of a hassle and something you look forward too! you might even find yourself upping your visits!
 
-You will learn new tricks
 
Having someone to workout with is a good opportunity to show off some new tricks you may have picked up along the way! Maybe you want to show your best friend that cool new move your awesome Pilates instructor took you through or maybe you want to coach your friend through some meditation you picked up in a yoga class. Either way, its always fun learning new things from a friend..
 
-I’ts basically free therapy.
 
Thats guy you’re keen on didn’t call you back? fighting with your sister? vent to your workout buddy while burning some serious calories! (Or sipping a coffee after!) It wont cost a thing and you will feel 1 million times better after!

– Use cardio to catch up
 
Tired of meeting the girls for cocktails and going to work feeling rotten the next day? suggest you catch up for a long bush walk or a run along the beach, why not try something new like paddle boarding or rock climbing? Burn those calories as you catch up rather than sip them!
